Terms of sale

Last updated: 30 October 2026

1. Who sells Stepsound

Stepsound is sold by Denis NGUYEN, a sole trader (entrepreneur individuel, EI) registered in France under SIRET number 837 584 689 00017, 311 allée des Escalettes, 13300 Salon-de-Provence, France (“we”). You can reach us at support@stepsound.app. Full details are in the legal notice.

2. What you buy

Stepsound is Windows software that processes the sound Windows plays to your headset or speakers, to make footsteps easier to hear in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. You subscribe to a licence to use it. It runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11. You sign in to the app with the email of your subscription.

Stepsound does not read, change or connect to the game, and it sends nothing to the game. We cannot control the rules or decisions of game publishers or anti-cheat providers. You remain responsible for following the rules of the games you play.

3. Free trial

4. Prices and payment

Two plans: €4.99 per month or €39.99 per year. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (CGI). The price shown on the payment page is the price you pay. Stripe processes payments; we never see or store your full card number.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, for the same length, until you cancel. If we change our prices, we tell you by email at least 30 days before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

If a payment fails, Stripe tries again for a few days. During that time Stepsound may stop working until your card is updated.

5. Cancelling

Cancel anytime from your account on stepsound.app (“Cancel subscription”). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, and Stepsound keeps working until then. If you cancel during the free trial, you pay nothing. We do not refund periods already started, except where the law requires it.

6. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content supplied right away, this right ends once the supply has started with your express consent. At checkout, you ask for Stepsound to start right away and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once you download it. The 7-day free trial lets you try Stepsound before you pay anything.

7. Your licence

8. Updates and availability

Updates are included and install automatically. We work to keep Stepsound and the website available, but we cannot promise they will work without interruption, with every sound card, driver or Windows version, or after changes made by third parties (for example Windows or game updates).

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost games, rankings, in-game items or data. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer law, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content (articles L224-25-12 and following of the French Consumer Code).

10. Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example by sharing the account or reselling access. We tell you by email first, unless the law or a serious misuse prevents it.

11. Personal data

Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why.

12. Disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you have a problem, write to support@stepsound.app first. As a consumer, you can also go to the courts of the place where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change affects your subscription, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies. The version that applies is the one in force on the date of your subscription or renewal.
